Effectiveness: doing "right" things, i.e. setting right targets to achieve an overall goal (the effect).  I was first introduced to this concept in Peter Drucker's best seller, The Effective Executive in which he discussed effectiveness vs. efficiency.  He stated that efficiency was doing things right and effectiveness was do the right things. 

AsThe Effectiveness Coach® I work with clients who are focused on getting done what they intended get done. How about you? At the end of the day is your to-do list about as long as it was when you started?  How many deadlines or timelines did you missed? Where you running behind schedule most of the day?  Has planning simply dropped off the agenda?

How about calling a time out?  Begin by recognizing that life does not have to be this way.  Many banks were forced into bankruptcy because they no longer had sufficient reserves.  How about you?  Do you have sufficient reserves of time and energy or are you on the edge of personal and professional bankruptcy?  Right now begin to schedule only 50 minutes of every hour.  Resist the temptation to go from one event or task to the next without a proper transition. Resolve to no longer be an adrenaline junkie and get of the the self-imposed crisis merry go round.
